Living in San Antonio

Students come from all over the U.S. and around the world to pursue an associate degree at Hallmark Institute of Aeronautics and Hallmark Institute of Technology.

Although Hallmark students are very serious about the pursuit of their career goals, we all know life is more than just going to class, studying and taking tests.

Hallmark Institute offers a variety of Student Services including help locating daycare, transportation, housing and part-time employment. Our Student Services Coordinators also organize school sponsored social events that students can enjoy like the Tamale Party each December.

THE CITY

In addition to being home to the historic Alamo, the world famous Riverwalk, and the WORLD CHAMPION Spurs, San Antonio is centrally located in South Texas with a wide variety of recreational opportunities close by. Hiking, biking, and water sports such as tubing, canoeing and wakeboarding are just minutes from town at various rivers and lakes.

San Antonio venues such as the AlamoDome, Verizon Amphitheater and SBC Center host many events throughout the year from rock, country, hip-hop and latin music concerts, to professional sports to monster trucks and motorcross.

San Antonio is also home to two major theme parks: Seaworld and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Both parks offer affordable season passes for local residents who want to take advantage of the many recreational features available.

In February the city hosts The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo which not only features all the best cowboys but also is a showcase for many famous entertainers.

For two weeks in April the city goes into party mode with its world famous annual FIESTA. The festival features parades, a carnival, and lots of parties all over town with great food and drink.
